Camino de Salud Network

Students & Volunteers:

Volunteers are vital to the overall success of the Camino de Salud Network.  Our volunteer program provides students with the experience of working directly with a variety of hospital staff and diverse patient population.  In addition, students will begin to learn and gain exposure to the health care system of Los Angeles County.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the SHAPE (Student Health Advocates for Prevention and Education) program, working directly at a non-profit community clinic enhancing the overall patient care experience.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Complete volunteer training;
  • Commit to at least 100 hours of volunteer service;
  • Have a reliable means of transportation to community clinic and LAC+USC
    (parking will be provided);
  • Spanish/English bilingual preferred (if limited or no Spanish language skills, please still apply).
